Former West Virginia Mountaineer and Laker great Jerry West says yesterday was one of the worst days of his life. West said losing NBA legend Kobe Bryant felt like he lost a son. West was the General Manager of the Lakers in 1996 when he traded Vlade Divac to the Charlotte Hornets in exchange for Bryant.
