COVID-19 has led to the cancellation of another gathering that attracts thousands. The Bridge Day Commission announced Wednesday that it has decided to nix Bridge Day scheduled Oct. 17 in Fayette County over uncertainty about mass gatherings. Bridge Day is West Virginia’s largest single-day festival and one of the largest extreme sports events in the world. About 100,000 people attend Bridge Day each year.
