Governor Justice says he is not shutting anything down, at this point, but West Virginia is trending badly. One reason for the sharp increase in COVID-19 cases is mass testing as a result of “Operation Drumstick,” five days of continuous testing ahead of Thanksgiving. There are over one-thousand new cases of the virus, and sixteen more people have died. The state’s daily positive test rate is trending down at under five-percent.
