State Treasurer John Perdue leaves office

State Treasurer John Perdue is out after 24-years in office. Purdue says he’s proud of his time as the state’s treasurer. He modernized the office, returned a fortune in unclaimed property to its rightful owners and developed a three-billion-dollar education fund. Republican Riley Moore defeated Perdue in the November election.
