Charleston police are investigating after a 5-year-old boy was shot in the leg. Investigators said it happened in a parked vehicle in the 100 block of Kanawha Boulevard East. The boy was taken to Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children’s Hospital around 10pm Sunday. Charleston Police Department’s Criminal Investigation is handling the case and the boy is expected to be okay.
