The National Weather Service is extending flood warnings for some area today as water continues to rise. The Kanawha River is the highest it’s been since 2003, and is expected to crest below flood stage. Flood warnings continue for the Elk River, Coal River and the Ohio River.
Rock slides, mud slides and damaged roadway are being reported across the state. WV DOT says more than ninety roads are closed.
