High Water Rescues are Reported Monday

High water and mudslides were reported across the region Monday as several inches of rain fell across the widespread area. Torrential rainfall Sunday pushed rivers to their highest levels in years across West Virginia and Ohio. Emergency responders also rescued several drivers who went through areas with high water on Monday morning. One of those was on Rutledge Road in Charleston. Crews also responded to a report of 11 people stranded at a church in Cross Lanes because of high water on Rocky Fork Road. No injuries were reported.
