Five radio towers in Kanawha County will be upgraded and replaced as part of a more than $1.1 million project to improve critical emergency communications systems. A bid to repair and replace radio towers spanning over three sites was approved Wedesday, according to the Kanawha County Commission. Under the project, radio towers at Clendenin will receive extensive repairs, and two new radio towers will be installed in Cross Lanes and Malden.
