Capitol Complex Hosts a Safe Zone for e-Commerce and Child Custody Exchanges

A designated “safe zone” has been created at the West Virginia Capitol Complex for child custody exchanges and in-person, e-commerce transactions. Capitol Police have set up a safe zone at the bus turnaround between the Culture Center and the West Virginia Veterans Memorial. The turnaround is open daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., and is accessible via the campus entrance at the intersection of Greenbrier Street and Washington Street East. he West Virginia Department of Homeland Security said the area is well-lighted and monitored by Capitol Police, including by video.
