Attendance at Athletic Events Will Be Based on Color-Codes

The West Virginia Department of Education released some guidelines for spectators at high school sporting events and extra curricular activities this fall. Who can attend the events will be based on the state’s color-coded re-entry system. Counties in the green can allow immediate household members only to events while counties in yellow will only be allowed parents and/or guardians to attend. Those counties in orange will have athletic and extracurricular activities limited to controlled practices and activities only. All school-related athletic and extracurricular activities will be suspended for counties in red until they can maintain a yellow status for seven days.
