Governor Orders Monongalia County Bars to Close Another Ten Days

Gov. Jim Justice is extending a closure of Monongalia County bars.
The new executive order extends the closure for an additional 10 days, effective until Thursday, Aug. 13 at 12:01 a.m. The order keeps all bars in the county closed for on-premises customers, but still allows for carry-out orders. The governor said the move was requested by the Monongalia County Commission. As of Saturday morning, more than 7.7% of West Virginia’s active cases were located in Monongalia County.
