West Virginia Intermediate Court Judge Dan Greear will serve as the new court’s first chief judge. The Intermediate Court of Appeals will officially begin its work on July 1st, and will hear appeals from family court, appeals from state agencies, and workers’ compensation appeals. Judges on the Intermediate Court of Appeals, like the justices on the state Supreme Court, choose their chief judge and set the term of the position.
