Jackson County Men Face Charges for Aluminum Theft

Court records said two men face charges in Jackson County after they allegedly stole aluminum cans at a business, and the owner of the property followed the suspects’ vehicle until a deputy could arrive. Erwin Page of Charleston and Benjie K. Parsons of Kenna were arrested after a reported theft at Valley Stone in Millwood. A criminal complaint filed in Jackson County Magistrate Courtt said the victim followed the suspects off his property and found them on Route 62 and stayed behind their vehicle until the deputy could arrive. The deputy arrived just outside of Ripley city limits. In the bed of the truck, 12 blocks of aluminum cans were found. The victim reported the theft of the cans had been going on for three days, and he estimated his loss at about $10,000 to $15,000.
