A Charleston police officer is recovering after she took several blows to the head by a man who attacked her at the Greyhound Bus Station. Thirty-one-year-old Anthony Gamble was throwing rocks at a bus, and when the officer approached him he shoved her to the ground, started hitting her, and tried to grab her weapon. Gambles is charged with assaulting an officer.
