A Charleston police officer is recovering after police said a man attacked her with a rock and tried to disarm her. Anthony Gamble of Baltimore, Maryland. is charged with malicious assault and attempting to disarm a police officer. Early Wednesday morning, police say Patrolman Chelsea McCoy responded to the Greyhound bus station after getting reports of a man throwing rocks at one of the buses. When McCoy got to the scene, police said, Gamble was holding a rock in his right hand and hit her with the rock and caused her to fall to the ground. She suffered mild to moderate injuries.
