Charleston Police say there is a scam making the rounds. A caller impersonating an officer claims to have a warrant for your arrest, and if you don’t pay using a pre-paid credit card, you’ll be arrested. The police department says they cannot accept payments for an arrest warrant, and warrants cannot be settled over the phone.
