Local businesses are hoping for big numbers this Small Business Saturday. Downtown Charleston will be crowded with shoppers for the Holly Jolly Brawley celebration. Several streets will be blocked off, and city parking is free. Small Business Saturday is considered a major economic boost for local businesses. Even for the more widely known locally owned businesses, the shopping holiday can contribute up to sixty-five percent of revenues directly to the local economy.
