Tenants Look for a Place to Live After Huntington Apartment Fire

An apartment fire that happened Thursday morning in Huntington is under investigation. It happened about 5:20 a.m. at the intersection of 24th Street and First Avenue. Cabell County 911 said gire crews arrived to find fire coming out of a second-story window on one side of the building. Crews were able to rescue one person from inside. A firefighter was treated at the scene by Cabell County EMS for a heat-related injury. All units in the complex were damaged by smoke and some by water. The American Red Cross was notified to help the tenants find a place to stay. The fire is under investigation.
