An investigation is underway after a stolen truck was used in an attempt to steal an ATM in Kanawha County. Deputies said a pickup truck was used to attempt to remove an ATM from the Chase bank in Elkview overnight Sunday into Monday, according to the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office. The unknown suspects left the truck, which was reported stolen from the Elkview area, at the scene and apparently fled on foot, the sheriff’s office said. The ATM was damaged in the process.
