USDA is Hiring Firefighters

The U.S. Forest Service is looking to hire firefighters. They need temporary workers to support wildfire support efforts in 14 national forests across the eastern U.S, including in West Virginia and Ohio. They need temporary dispatch workers, and also fire dozer operators and fuel operators. They’re also hiring permanent firefighters for engines, dispatchers, fire dozer operators and other crew members. The USDA’s temporary hiring event runs through Aug. 31, and the permanent hiring event runs through Sept. 14.
