Voters in Cabell County to Decide on School Renovations

A special election is coming up for voters in Cabell County to decide on a nearly $88-million bond to fund new schools and renovation projects. A new Milton Elementary School would be part of it, and a potential location would be the site of the old Milton High School. The Corps of Engineers is expected to build a floodwall along the Mud River to get around flooding issues. Meadows Elementary is another of the five schools that could be replaced if the bond issue passes. The special election will be August 22 with more virtual presentations planned in the meantime. Early voting starts August 8.
