Metro 911 said there were reports of multiple water rescues throughout Kanawha County on Monday morning, and the National Weather Service issued flash flood warning for east central Kanawha and northwestern Fayette counties. Kanawha County commissioners reported there were several creeks out of their banks in the eastern part of the county and water rescues were occurring there. Floodwaters continue to subside now.
