Winter Storm Warning is in Effect

The entire region is under a winter storm warning through 1 pm today with snow and ice continuing. Total accumulations of 6 to 10 inches of snow are part of the storm, with the heaviest amounts of snow falling west of Huntington and along the eastern mountains. The Kanawha valley, coalfields, and portions of northeastern Kentucky that include the 119 corridor are seeing the most ice. Snow should taper off today and tomorrow’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high near 40.
