Yeager Airport Passenger Traffic Begins to Increase

Yeager Airport hit its lowest point during the pandemic in April, with only about 15 people coming to the airport a day. Since then, numbers have gone up to nearly 300 daily passengers. Before the pandemic, Yeager Airport was serving around 700 passengers a day.
At the height of the quarantine in April, that number plummeted to 15 passengers a day, but now things are picking back up.

Yeager staff recently sent out a survey online asking people what would make them feel better about flying with them. One of the biggest responses was for employees to be wearing masks. WCHS TV reported the Central West Virginia Regional Airport Authority received more than 20,000 face masks from FEMA for staff and passengers. Free masks are available at airline terminals inside Yeager Airport.
