The second of the three-event Charleston Winter Series is scheduled to happen this weekend. Organizers say the next event will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, at the University of Charleston Pharmacy parking lot. The run will be 8 kilometers (about 4.9 miles), while the walk is 4 kilometers (about 2.4 miles). The Winter Series wraps up Feb. 9 with a 10K run and a 5K walk.
