DARE Program Continues to Evolve

The Drug Abuse Resistance Education program has changed a lot in its 30-plus-year history. The DARE program has adapted to cover different issues affecting students over the years, and now the dangers of vaping are at the forefront of the curriculum. The program is being taught at Chapmanville Regional High School and other Logan County schools. According to the DARE website, statistics show a 30 to 40% drop in drugs and alcohol use for students who complete the program.
