Members of the Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office said goodbye this week to a K-9 officer. The bloodhound named Alibi served with the sheriff’s office for five years before being forced into retirement due to health problems, according to a Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office Facebook post. Veteranarians agreed that the dog couldn’t be kept pain-free, and the tough decision was made to euthanize the dog. Alibi spent several years with the sheriff’s office, having joined the department as a 12-week-old puppy.
