A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday for the new Herbert Hoover High School. School officials, students, and several others gathered at the Given Fork property in the Elkview area. Kanawha County School Superintendent Ron Duerring and Gov. Jim Justice made remarks. The new school will replace the school that was destroyed in the flood of 2016.
