Heavy equipment that was reported stolen in Athens County, Ohio, has been located at a church in Jackson County after a man confessed to the theft. The machine was reported stolen Jan. 6 from the Athens County Engineer’s Office and it has a value of $100,000. 25-year old Robert M. Reel II confessed to the theft and took deputies to the machine that had been parked at Fairview Methodist Church in Jackson County. Deputies do not believe the church was involved in the case. The investigation is ongoing.
