WVU Player to Help Launch XFL

A new football league is starting in February and former Marshall quarterback Chase Litton will play. Litton was traded Thursday from the XFL’s Seattle Dragons to the Tampa Bay Vipers after being nitially assigned to the Dragons as part of the second round of quarterback assignments for the league’s teams. Litton went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free agent. He later spent time on the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Litton finished his Marshall career ranked fifth in career passing yards and fourth in career touchdowns. The XFL kicks off its inaugural season Saturday, Feb. 8.
