Former Nitro municipal clerk, 61-year-old Robin Smith, has pleaded guilty to embezzling at least 70-thousand-dollars from the city. Investigators found thousands of dollars in cash hidden in her office, and uncashed checks dating back to 2001. Smith faces up to ten years in prison.
