A Charleston city official has resigned from her job. Alexandra Gallo resigned from her post as the city’s community relations coordinator effective Friday afternoon, after being appointed to the position in January 2019 by Mayor Amy Goodwin. Last Month Gallo pleaded guilty to a variety of misdemeanor charges after an arrest Nov. 2, 2019. A Charleston police document says Gallo “forcibly pushed, grabbed and caused harm” to the victim, who is the grandmother of her child, inside the victim’s home on Edgewood Drive on Nov. 2.
