Governor Jim Justice says he’s sorry if his use of the word “thugs” offended anyone. He made the racially charged remarks Tuesday night at a girl’s high school basketball game between Woodrow Wilson and Greenbrier East, where he is coach. During the game the Woodrow Wilson coaches got into a fight with a fan, and the State Police had to step in. The game was eventually suspended, and five Woodrow Wilson players were later suspended for two games because they left the bench. After the game, Justice called the Woodrow Wilson team “thugs” for their actions. Justice apologized for the remark Friday.
