Marshall Player Pleads Not Guilty to Charges

A Marshall football player accused of attacking a woman was arraigned on charges Tuesday morning. Brandon Drayton pleaded not guilty in Cabell County to domestic battery and strangulation. Drayton was a defensive back for the Herd and was suspended from the team in October when the charges came to light. Drayton is accused of grabbing a woman around her neck and shoulders and yelling at her. His next court appearance is set for March 17.
