New Bill Would Stop Time Changes in West Virginia

The West Virginia Senate has passed a bill that would make daylight saving time the official time year-round in West Virginia if a federal law is changed. On Tuesday, the Senate approved the measure and it’s now in the House Judiciary Committee. The West Virginia Senate bill said if U.S. Congress amends the federal law to authorize states to observe daylight saving time year-round, the state of West Virginia would make daylight saving time the permanent time of the state. Daylight saving time this year officially starts at 2 a.m. Sunday, March 8, when clocks are turned forward one hour.
