Officials with the city of South Charleston said they expect repairs at the ice arena to be completed by April. The South Charleston Memorial Ice Arena closed unexpectedly in January after mechanical failure. WCHS TV reported that the 10 bumper cars that were announced in December 2019 arrived at the ice arena this week and they should be up and running in April once the repairs are completed. The ice arena will be divided in half with bumper cars on one side and ice skating on the other side. The arena opened in 2002.
