Girl Scouts to Donate Cookies to Hospital Workers

For Black Diamond Girl Scout troop 4847, this year’s cookie sales were off to a solid start with over 11,000 boxes of cookies sold, and then they hit a brick wall because of coronavirus. With no booth sales in public, some scouts have a few hundred boxes leftover. Those will be donated to hospital workers. Charleston Area Medical Center Memorial Hospital, CAMC Women and Children’s Hospital and Thomas Memorial Hospital will all get cookie donations. Girl Scouts also made masks for staff members and some gifts for patients at the hospitals.
