The Nicholas County Sheriff’s Office said it is ramping up its police presence due to school being out and court proceedings being canceled. Nighttime patrols are being ramped up with additional deputies throughout the county, according to a post on the sheriff’s office Facebook page. Sheriff William Nunley said this is just a little peace of mind so everyone can sleep in peace at night.
