Spring Cleanup Starts March 21

It’s about time to spruce up a bit if you live in Kanawha County. The county’s annual spring cleanup is planned on several upcoming dates with collection sites in Elkview/Clendenin, Cabin Creek and South Charleston. The free cleanup will be available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in several places, including the old Herbert Hoover parking lot in Elkview/Clendenin March 21st, on April 4th in Cabin Creek behind GoMart, and in Charleston April 18th at the intersection of C Street and Fourth Avenue. Items that will be accepted are accumulated solid waste, large appliances, air conditioners, 10 tires with a West Virginia identification and televisions. Recyclables that will be accepted are computers, all metals, car batteries and electronics.
