WVSU Relaxes Rules on Sick Leave

West Virginia State University said it is closely monitoring the developing novel coronavirus outbreak across the country and is relaxing rules on sick leave and class absences. President Anthony Jenkins said he is extending three additional days of paid leave for faculty and staff if it’s needed. And Jenkins said he is suspending penalties for student absences. Jenkins said his office has been in regular contact with the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission, which has been working with local and state health officials to monitor information related to COVID-19.
