City Program to Meet Residents Changes Shape

Charleston Mayor Amy Goodwin said officials have retooled their planned door-to-door visits by city officials to let them still connect with residents and maintain social distancing. The reimagined Charleston Walks program is now called Connect Charleston and will mean phone calls from the Mayor’s Office instead of walks through neighborhoods to meet people. Charleston residents who want to connect with the mayor or Mayor’s Office about a city issue or COVID-19 can also call that same number (304-348-8174).
