West Virginia could start easing social distancing requirements beginning in May. The Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation says the state could slowly begin opening if large gatherings are restricted, there is wide spread testing, and contacts of people who test positive are quarantined. The White House issued guidelines that states should meet before reopening. West Virginia’s testing capacity currently doesn’t extend into most of the state’s population.
