Roane County deputies arrested a man they say purposefully spit and coughed on a health-care worker. Michael Badgett is charged with assault and battery on a health-care provider after the incident May 6th at the Roane General Medical Associates Respiratory Clinic in Spencer. A licensed practical nurse said Badgett was a patient and became upset because his wife couldn’t go with him to the treatment area.
