The Kanawha County Sheriff’s Office has identified the victim is a Cross Lanes shooting over the weekend. Eighty-year-old Jacob Smith was shot and killed by his son-in-law at a home on Lick Branch Road. No charges have been filed. The shooter says he acted in self-defense.
