Bishop Calls for Peaceful Action After the Death of George Floyd

The bishop of the Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston is calling for people to unite in peace and prayer after the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis. Bishop Mark Brennan said the killing of Floyd was “an egregious act of violence with no justification whatsoever. The bishop also stressed most law enforcement officials are decent men and women who train hard to be respectful as they deal with the public. Brennan said the protests that involve destruction of property are not the work of justice and will not bring peace.
