Primary Election is Costing Taxpayers More This Year

The Kanawha County Commission reports the 2020 primary election is about $150,000 more than the last presidential primary for the area.
As of Tuesday morning, Kanawha County taxpayers spent more than $250,000 on the election. The Kanawha County Commission anticipates taxpayers spending more than $500,000 for the election. The Kanawha County Clerk’s Office says the commission will receive more invoices for several thousands of dollars at the end of the month.
