A Winfield police officer has been asked to resign from his position, according to Winfield’s Chief of Police Ron Arthur. Noah Garcelon resigned after admitting to making several derogatory comments about protesters across the country. Arthur said he was alerted about the posts and investigated them as soon as he found out. Arthur said the patrolman’s posts do not reflect the opinions of anyone on the police department.
