Some roads, including Kanawha Boulevard, will close early this afternoon for the Fourth of July fireworks Celebration. The Boulevard will close at 4 p.m. between California Street and Court Street, and will remain closed until Sunday night. Traffic on both sides of the river will be affected. MacCorkle Avenue will also be closed between Porter Road and U.S. 119 beginning at 6 p.m. Eastbound traffic to access the South Side Bridge will be permitted through Thayer and Ferry Street until 9:30 p.m. The fireworks begin at 10 p.m.
