The Mountain State Forest Festival in Elkins is the oldest and one of the largest in the state, and it won’t be happening this year because of the pandemic. Organizers say they have more than 100,000 people that come into Elkins for the festival every year and it would have been in its 84th year this year. The only other time it was cancelled was during World War II.
