Charleston police said charges are pending against a driver involved in a single-vehicle crash that shut down a section of Interstate 64. The crash occurred about 8 p.m. Wednesday on I-64 West just past the Oakwood exit ramp. Charleston Police said the driver of the car lost control while negotiating the curve just past the exit and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by the Traffic Division.
